It is absolutely essential for the health of your eyes that your initial venture into contact lens wear is with the advice and guidance of a high street clinician – who will examine your eyes and assess your suitability for them.  If you want to get repeat prescriptions from the internet that’s another thing, but you need to be prescribed the most appropriate design in the first place if you’re to get the full benefit of contact lenses.

• The NHS Choices website if you are based in England
• The HSCNI website (and search for 'Optician') if you are in Northern Ireland
• The NHS inform Scotland website if you are in Scotland
• The Wales Eye Care Services website (and select relevant service) if you are in Wales
